We are looking for a superstar Accounting Manager who'd like to make veterinary and dental health the next step in their finance journey. CUBEX is the industry leader in Smart Inventory Cabinets, and we're growing so quickly that we need more accounting help. This role will focus on general accounting operations and financial reporting.

Position Brief:

This role will focus on general accounting operations and financial reporting.
Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
- Revenue Recognition: Own the revenue recognition process in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accurate and timely recognition across multiple revenue streams.
- Systems Management: Utilize accounting software, including NetSuite, to maintain records, generate reports, and identify system improvements.
- Month-End Close: Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including reconciliations, adjustments, and journal entries.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and variance analyses to senior management.
- Cash Forecasting & Budgeting: Collaborate with the Controller to assist in cash flow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Audit Support: Lead the preparation for external audits, ensuring that auditor requests are responded to accurately and promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state and local filings, including taxes, business licenses, annual information reports.
- Process Improvement: Continually assess and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as requested by the CFO and Controller, including system implementations and financial modeling.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented and Analytics: Highly detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to draw insights from financial data.
- GAAP Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including ASC 606 and 842.
- Problem Solving: Proactive and solution-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with NetSuite. Experience with ancillary accounting systems like MineralTree or Avalara is a plus.
- Audit & Compliance: 2-3 years of audit experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm is a plus, with a deep understanding of audit procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities and deadlines.
- Work Hours: Full-time position with standard working hours aligned with accounting industry norms.
- Location: Primarily based at the corporate office in Scottsdale, with occasional visits to our Phoenix warehouse.
- Travel: Minimal travel required.
- Hybrid Work Schedule: Mondays through Thursdays in-office; Fridays remote work from home.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Required in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA License: CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure preferred, but not required.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.

Compensation
- $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 DOE
- Open PTO; including 9 observed holidays.
